Job Description
In line with the strategic reinforcement of our legal support in Asia Pacific, we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel who can quickly take on the role and partner with our regional teams. The position requires someone autonomous, experienced in Asian markets, and capable of managing significant contract volumes while working closely with both HQ and local teams.
In this role, you will support our APAC operations on a wide range of legal matters. Your key responsibilities include:
- Manage a high volume of commercial and real estate contracts across multiple Asian subsidiaries.
- Draft, review and negotiate agreements, including lease contracts, event agreements and standard commercial contracts.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
- Advise operational teams and senior stakeholders across Hong Kong, China, Singapore and the wider region.
- Identify legal risks and propose pragmatic, business‑oriented solutions.
- Collaborate closely with HQ functions, including legal department, local leaders and external legal counsels.
- Act as the primary legal point of contact for the region during the fixed-term period.
- Contribute to operational continuity and the strengthening of the legal framework in Asia.
Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced legal professional with strong exposure to the Asian market and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Hold a law degree with 8–12+ years of relevant experience.
- Bring solid in‑house legal experience (required).
- Demonstrate confirmed experience within an Asian legal environment.
- Master real estate/lease agreements and the management of high contract volumes.
- Showcase excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Speak fluent English; Chinese is a plus.
- Demonstrate strong autonomy, professional maturity and the ability to learn quickly.
- Be collaborative, solution‑oriented and attentive to multicultural teams.
Special Note – Contract Flexibility
For this fixed-term contract (ending on December 31, 2026), the role can be based either in Singapore or Hong Kong.
